About Myself

Hello, I'm known by the handle of satmd and the operator of this website.

Apart from that, I'm an IRC netizen at various places and you can find me roaming around at ChatSpike, libera.chat, euIRC and OtakuboX, where I contribute to projects like Gentoo, InspIRCd, eggdrop and many more.

If you have not heard of me, that's fine. I usually don't claim credits on contributions and much of my "work" just means helping users around, bringing people together and such things.

  • OtkuboX IRC: I'm one of the original founders of this IRC network and still operating it with my great team.

  • eggdrop: I've contributed satmd_botnet.
  • euIRC IRC: I'm an IRC operator at euIRC, keeping the spam outside.

Background

Originally being a trained software developer, my focus shifted to system administration. During the past decades of my journey, I've come to touch a lot of programming languages (Basic, C, C++, asm, Perl, Python, TCL, ML, Pascal, Delphi, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, PHP, ...) and DSLs (Puppet, HTML, CSS, XML, ...). As I've always been experimenting and playing with "computer stuff", I've touched quite a lot of software: Apache HTTPD, Asterisk, nginx, pppd, kannel, inn, pptpd, Samba, OpenLDAP, Puppet, Ansible, eggdrop, Dokuwiki, Mailman, ejabberd, Postfix, Dovecot, ...) … and many more which I spontaneously don't remember or don't want to remember.
